There is a first time for everything and this year, it is my first time celebrating away from all blood relation and working to boot! Luckily Nite is opening her house for me as she is also celebrating on her own. So 2 makes a family. She also invited Bits, bless her.
Now that we've decided that we will have our own celebration, the next logical thing is to talk about what to eat. CNY is never complete without the sengkuang dish I love so much.
Note to self: Get recipe from Mum
It can also be a type of salad for Bits as you can eat it wrapped with lettuce. Nite will also be making the family spring rolls. Both need sengkuang ingredients which I have take it upon myself to procure. Please let there be sengkuang in the Asian Grocers!
This year will be the ram year, which is mum's zodiac sign. It is also known as Goat or Sheep year - confusing as we all know goat and sheep is different. Goat plural is goats and sheep plural is sheep.
